I admit, the subject line made me shudder. It sounds a little "internet-y", doesn't it?
But, it did do the job of getting you to read this post and check out Brad's Top 5 butt building exercises, so there! And good on you for opening it and checking it out.
Recently, my wife, Brittany, received a compliment from another trainer's client about her, ahem, lower half.
(Oh, don't worry, this person was another female, so I didn't have to punch anybody out!)
Brittany was complimented on her lower body and her "rock solid" legs. Of course, this made Britt feel good, and it made me pause for thought on what exercises she had been doing of late to help build the aesthetics in her lower body.
I should mention: she has been really putting in some serious time and effort, so it's not like these exercises are magic, overnight fixes for lagging body parts.
But they do work.
So, without further ado, here is my list of the top 5 exercises I use for clients to help strengthen and shape their legs and booty - because who doesn't want a pair of legs and a round butt? I'm talkin' girls and guys.
These are not in any particular order, and I'll tell you what rep ranges are best to get the most bang for your buck.
Brad's Top 5 Butt-Builders:
#1. Single leg Romanian Deadlift
Best reps: medium to high (5-15)
#2. Super band Lateral Walk
Best reps: high (10+ both directions)
#3. Shoulders Elevated Single Leg Bridge
Best reps: high (10-15)
#4. Walking Lunges
Best reps: medium to high (5-15 per leg)
#5. Shoulders Elevated Wide Leg Mini band Bridge
Best reps: high (10+)
